Stopovers and New Horizons: Why I’m Putting My Yarns Aside and Focusing on Continuous Learning

Why I’m putting my yarns aside and focusing on POD and AI. A look at challenges, progress, and future plans.

Sometimes, the creative journey feels like a winding mountain road – thrilling but full of obstacles. That’s exactly how I feel right now with my handspun yarns. While trying to digitally capture the colors and details of these little works of art, I ran into an unexpected challenge. At the same time, my journey with Print-on-Demand (POD) and AI image generators remains exciting and full of new opportunities. Today, I’ll share my current stopover with you and give a glimpse into what’s coming next.

Why My Yarns Are on Hold

My yarns are more than just a hobby – they are a passion project. But let’s be honest: it’s incredibly frustrating to try and capture their colors and textures in a way that looks just as good in photos as it does in real life. Despite countless attempts with different camera settings and edits, I was never satisfied. My camera just doesn’t deliver the color accuracy I need.

What does this mean?

For now, the yarns will be put on hold. But don’t worry – they’re not gone forever! Maybe one day, I’ll find a better technical solution or be inspired by a brand-new idea. Who knows? They might even make their way into my Print-on-Demand projects.

Print-on-Demand: A Focus That Remains

Despite the issues with my yarns, I’m sticking with another creative focus: Print-on-Demand. I just love bringing designs to life on T-shirts, mugs, or posters. But as always, it’s not “just that simple.”

Since December 13, 2024, there’s a new product safety law. In the EU especially, there are strict regulations to ensure products are free of harmful substances. For me, this means taking responsibility and doing thorough research to make sure everything complies. It’s a lot of work – but necessary.

This Video is german, sorry.

AI Image Generators: Endless Variety

Over the past few months, I’ve been experimenting with various AI image generators – from Microsoft Designer to Leonardo, Stable Diffusion, and Flux. It’s fascinating how different the results are! Each tool has its own unique style, and that makes working with them so exciting.

What am I learning from this? The world of AI is full of possibilities. Every day, I discover new approaches. My futuristic image series is just the beginning, and I’m looking forward to sharing more soon.

Looking Ahead

The road is rarely straight, but that’s what makes it so exciting. Whether it’s POD products, AI artworks, or perhaps one day my handspun yarns again – I remain curious and open to new challenges.

I can’t wait to surprise you with more updates soon. And who knows? Maybe something entirely new is just around the corner. Until then: Stay creative and curious! 😊
